Hope

Hope

Have you ever been in the dark? Have you ever tried to go from each destination in your day with your eyes closed? Maybe something less extreme; How about just walking around your house with your eyes closed? Of course not. Why? Because you have the ability to see, the blessing of healthy & functioning eyes. Sometimes it's so natural that we forget it is a gift, right?

In this "New era" many men and women attempt to live a life without spiritual insight; guidance given through the Holy Spirit, blindly following the world. Many people are let down by a very physical world yet In scripture we're reminded of this spiritual hope in various books and chapters of the bible:

  • Romans 15:13: "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
  • Hebrews 6:19: "We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure."
  • 1 Peter 1:3: "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy, he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead."
  • Colossians 1:27: "To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory."

At many times in my life, my faith was tested, even in present times. My undeniable foundation is the Word of God, Jesus Christ. I encourage you, the reader, to become a partaker of this lively hope by intentionally giving what you aim to receive. If you aim to create success for yourself, create success for others. LOVE is powerful and we all need more of it in us and around us.

This small excerpt is a faithful reminder to myself and others that the work of God is fruitful and comforting. No matter where you are in your journey do not lose the relationship you have with the living Word that inspires, informs, transforms and convicts.

With Love, Your brother in Christ,

Nicholas Akogu
